In Maths, the children have been creating their own part whole models to understand how they can partition whole numbers. Using the counters allowed children to explore different parts of a whole number and record them within their groups. For example, they could split 260 into 100, 130 and 30 or 150, 60 and 50. This task widened their knowledge of different parts of a whole number to allow them to complete part whole model tasks independently. Great work, Year 5!
