This afternoon, members of our school council visited St. Cuthbert's Hospice in Durham to celebrate the amount of money we have raised for the charity. Last year we took part in a whole school Santa Run and a summer Colour Run: through these two event we raised a staggering £3664.35! This is enough to cover the costs of running the hospice for an entire day.
The councillors were given a tour of the grounds and were interested to learn how much the hospice can offer people - inclduding an allotment and fruit and veg shop. We talked about the next fundraising opportunity which will be a festive Reindeer Run in December. More details to follow after half term!
It was lovely to see the hospice and see where our donations are helping. We look forward to supporting them again throughout this year.
