This art unit focuses on sculpture. After observing the Angel of the North, the children learned how to replicate shapes from the sculpture using dough. We learned about how to make the dough pliable. We worked hard to eliminate cracks so that are shapes were stable. We learned how to smooth and shape the dough and add texture with lines and holes using tools.
