This week in the Nursery class the children have been exploring the numbers 0-3 and beyond. The continuous provision themes and enhancements have been created to encourage verbal counting with real life play objects. The children have really explored string counting in the play dough areas. Children have also enjoyed counting in the block area and home corner. From buttons to beads – dominoes to Christmas baubles the children have enjoyed one to one counting with a range of loose parts. The children have also enjoyed counting out from a larger group at snack time.
