Last week in Reception, the children had their very own general election where the children could vote for who they wanted on our school council team ready for Year One. Firstly, the children learned about the general election and what it meant for our country so they had an understanding of the process. The children then decided who would like to be nominated and then we chose 5 names out of the hat. The 5 children wrote down 2 reasons why their class should pick them. Then, the class went off to vote for their favourite. Well done to Harry and Lucy who will now be school council in September.
