Practising Modroc Techniques

Published: 7 Feb '25

We had a lovely art lesson this week when we practised using Modroc for the first time. We will be using it to make our totem pole sculptures at the end of the term. Because we want them to have texture and represent various animals we began by drawing our outline on card. We then used rolled up paper, taped in place, to give definition before covering the whole thing in Modroc and smoothing it out. It was a very calming and theraputic lesson. The children are looking forward to painting them when they are completely dry.
