Today, a group of children in year 5 completed their third and final training ride with cycle instructor Rich, before they take on the mammoth Kielder Challenge in a couple of weeks time. We left school and cycled to the iconic Tyne Cyle and Pedestrian Tunnel at Jarrow before having lunch and returning to school. The children loved the experience of cycling through the tunnel and feeling the temperate change drastically. In all, the children have cycled an impressive 16.6 miles and showed a lot of perseverance and determination throughout the ride. Well done year 5, you should all be very proud of yourselves.
