Article 17 – Every child has the right to access reliable information from a variety of sources.
On the lead up to Remembrance Day, Year 6 were learning about the impact World War Two has had on Great Britain at the time, and today. To understand why the war began, the children worked in groups to create timelines of the significant events leading up to and during the war. They then made their own timelines. As well as this, they found out about rationing (making their own egg free chocolate cake), the reasons for and impact of the Blitz, as well as how life changed for women.
