This week the Nursery class have been preparing for the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch Weekend! This year the RSPB Bird watching event will be held on the 26th – 29th January. In the Nursery setting we have been exploring a range of British garden birds which the children may view and observe next week in the wider school grounds. We have been learning about different types of birds and so far magpies, blue-tits and robins appear to be the most popular and well known to the Nursery class. The children have been extending their learning and interests by accessing a range of wildlife books. Tomorrow every child in Nursery will come home with a mini bird feeder for their family. You may wish to place your feeder in your home garden or visit a local park.
