Nursery Oracy Event and Parent Workshop Dec 5, 2023

Communication and Language: Article 29: We have the right to develop our talents and abilities.

On Thursday 30th November, Nursery hosted a special Oracy workshop for all parents and grandparents to attend. It was a pleasure to invite so many family members into the Nursery setting for the morning. It was wonderful to explore some new poems, rhymes and songs together as a community group. The planned event was designed to encourage and develop speaking and listening skills for all learners in the setting.

The children loved talking to their key adults about all the different areas in the Nursery. From Mums, Dads, Grandmas and Grandads – everybody got involved and helped with all of the rhymes, songs and free play. The Nursery was filled with so much talk, chat and fun.
The children shared some key songs at circle time with their parents.
At the moment the Nursery group particularly enjoy:

5 Little Snowmen, 5 Currant Buns, 5 Little Speckled Frogs, 5 Little Monkeys and Hickory, Dickory Dock!
