This week in the Early Years the children have explored a different range of early mark making tasks. Provision has been planned and designed to ensure all of the children can access a range of both gross motor tasks and fine motor development tasks. Different writing stations and caddy’s have been placed around the setting with a range of writing tools. Children have been encouraged to make marks in a variety of ways across both the indoors and outdoor area. Water and dough play has been very popular too – with the children developing the muscles in their arms, hands and fingers ready for writing. Balance and coordination games have also been explored so the children can develop their gross motor skills! Let’s get ready for Writing!
