In Science, Year 5 investigated how friction works during an experiment. The children put cars down ramps which led the car onto a different type of surface. Then, they timed how long it took for the car to stop. The children found out that the table had the least friction which meant the longest stop time for the car. The children discussed why friction is important and discussed different examples of when high and low friction is positive or negative.
