Article 27 You have the right to a good enough standard of living. This means you should have food, clothes and a place to live.

Article 29 You have the right to education which tries to develop your personality and abilities as much as possible and encourages you to respect other people’s rights and values and to respect the environment

At Birtley East Primary School, we aim for children to understand their relationship with the world and their place within it.  The intention is to develop a high-quality geography education which inspires pupils to have a curiosity and fascination about the world and its people. It intends to spark curiosity and wonder in all our children about the world in which they live.   Therefore, geography teaching motivates children to find out about the human and physical world and enables them to recognise the importance of sustainable development for the future of mankind.
