Article 29: We have the right to develop our talents and abilities.
It was a real pleasure to host ‘Tiny Tweeties’ for a whole morning in school this term. The musical extra curricular visit was amazing for all of the children and a real treat to listen to a live musical band. From microphones, guitars, singing and hand held bells – all of the children were invited to take part in a musical spectacular. The session engaged all learners and incorporated many songs and rhymes – enhancing spoken vocabulary throughout. The session also included many daily Phase 1 Phonics key tasks. Body percussion, nursery rhymes, beats, rhyme and musical dance were all included! The children were all encouraged to use their listening skills to move to the music.
We all had a wonderful time – moving to the music! We couldn’t stand or sit still!
